The businessman José Souto Meizoso has sold 70% of his company Center Coruña Hotels SL, the company that owns and manages the DoubleTree by Hilton and Ibis Styles hotels in the Herculean city, to the fund Extendam Capital Partners in Hospitality and the company DG Invest Hospitality.

The company reported this in a statement, explaining that Center Coruña Hotels, SL was 100% owned by Irta Invest, SL , the parent company of the employer.

According to the entity, the new shareholders have extensive experience and knowledge in the international hotel sector. In the case of Extendam, he details that it is a fund specializing in hotel investments and is the most active in Europe, with a total of 270 hotels and an investment of more than 2,800 million euros in assets.

For his part, he recalls that DG Invest is the largest franchisee of Accor Invest and has more than 50 hotels in Spain, France and Portugal. The valuation of the assets of this operation amounts to 22 million euros.

With these new shareholders, Center Coruña Hotels emphasizes that excellent management is assured for the future growth and development of both hotels, which will continue under the same flag and under a franchise regime.

This financial operation was carried out with the participation of two businessmen such as Jean Charles Delgado, who among other things was General Manager for Southern Europe at Accor Hotels, and Laurent Gauze, owner of several hotels in Spain, France and Portugal.

IPIH activity in 2021 reached €10.5 million for the Peninsula: Spain €8.6 million and Portugal €1.9 million.

As they explain “in the consolidated document our hotels have reached an occupancy rate of 53%, with sales totaling more than 170,000 rooms and an average price above the 52 €.
